Detailed Description

Abstraction for sending and receiving raw Ethernet frames.

Provides the transport boundary between PROFINET protocol implementations and the underlying raw Ethernet socket.

Protocol components such as the cyclic controller, DCP implementation, and alarm listener should depend on this interface instead of directly depending on operating-system socket APIs.

This separation allows protocol logic to be unit tested independently from the network interface and allows the production socket implementation to be replaced by a test double.
